From time to time employment and internship opportunities become available.
These include various positions for experienced and energetic personnel including:
1. Short and long term Employment
- stable-hand/groom and or stable-hand/maintenance person
- riders (able to ride young horses and/or jumping and/or dressage), with proven competition and performance experience
2. Internships
Interns will receive a similar training experience to students undertaking the vocational training program including:
Single rein lunging
Basic classical in hand routine including shoulders in, turn of forehand and pirouettes
Establishing respect and obedience on the ground
- Basic horse riding instruction covering correct rider position, basic flat work, walk, trot, canter, shoulder in, leg yield and rein back.
- Stable and stud management:
- Daily Checking of horses and receiving instructions
- Feeding horses - preparation and feeding of hard feed, hay and pasture
- Monitoring and administering mineral requirements
- Drenching and medication requirements
- Daily farm management
- Water management
- Fence/Paddock/Electric fence management
- Stable and yard management
- Horse handling including stallions, youngstock and foals
- Tack care, cleaning and organization
Salary packages are offered dependant on the skill levels of each individual and bonuses may be offered to dedicated and passionate personnel.
At Yardah you are only limited by your own limitations.
